Shipping policy

The Chocolate Season - Shipping & Delivery

• All gifts are shipped via UPS or FEDEX from Lincoln, Nebraska.  At this time we are only available to ship within the contiguous states of the U.S.A.  
  
• Our confections are shipped Monday through Wednesday and Thursday (with a 1 day transit option)
• Shipping transit times are from when an order ships (typically ships within 24-48 hours)
• Same day shipping is not offered as a guaranteed service, but TCS will strive to prepare your items and ship as quickly as possible.  If you have a certain “need by date” please write that in your notes to TCS upon checkout and we will see what special accommodations can be made, if any.
• If extra precaution is needed for the product to arrive safely and in good condition, we will contact the customer prior to production of their order to obtain verbal or written consent for any extra charges. Once charges are paid, the order will be filled.
• We cannot be held responsible for packages that are undeliverable due to wrong address, missing information, or if someone is not around to accept the package. We highly recommend that someone be home when the package is set to arrive or it is recommended to have it shipped to a workplace or office.  Purchaser's email will be given a tracking number upon fulfillment, if you'd prefer to have your recipient receive tracking, please email us at: contact@thechocolateseason.com.
• The Chocolate Season will not be held responsible for delays caused by our Shipping Carriers (UPS / FEDEX) due to a pandemic, weather, strike, mechanical failure or other acts beyond our control. We strongly encourage you DOUBLE CHECK SHIPPING ADDRESSES BEFORE SUBMITTING YOUR ORDER.
  
• Depending on your shipping destination we may find it more safe/feasible to send via UPS / USPS. If possible, please do not send to a PO (Post Office) Box. APO or FPO addresses. You may be contacted for a different address if UPS is the only option to ship. 

Below is a map of the number of days it takes to ship UPS Ground from The Chocolate Season in Lincoln, Nebraska. Most shipments are preferred to arrive with 1-2 days. 

 

 

SHIPPING OVER THE WEEKEND

Most of our shipments are shipped early in the week in order to avoid having the chocolates sit over the weekend in an unconditioned warehouse. If you are shipping a package to a warm-weather destination over a weekend, your package may be held until the following Monday to ensure minimal time in transit. If the weather permits, we may ship to arrive on a Monday.

ORDER PROCESSING

We try hard to get orders placed before 12:00pm CST out the same day but occasionally during peak holiday seasons, it might take up to 48 hours to get your order made and shipped.  If you need your order by a certain date, then please call (402) 466-1139, and we will help you with your order. 

RETURN POLICY:  Unless otherwise noted, all items are non-returnable and non-refundable.  We take time to ensure every item is carefully packaged and inspected before it is shipped. Once the products leave our store, any damage that may occur is out of our hands. If merchandise is damaged upon receipt, due to weather or carrier handling, please contact the shipping carrier immediately with your tracking information. All other requests, please contact us at contact@thechocolateseason.com within 24 hours of receiving your package. We suggest taking photos and to keep the items (uneaten) for their review.  In some cases we utilize ice packs when packing your orders based on temps for where it is being shipped.
