Warm Weather Shipping
Since we strive to have our products arrive in perfect condition, we take special care when shipping to warm locations. From May to October and year round to warm climates such as AZ, TX, FL, GA and CA, the Summer Shipping Policy will automatically take effect.
To protect your package from the heat, we use specialty food ice packs, which keep the product cool for up to 36 - 48 hours. Due to the extra weight and cost of ice packs, there is a small additional fee added to normal shipping rates.
To offset the costs of these neccessary precautions, consider ordering more product (as shipping costs become more reasonable per box). Also talk to friends and family about combining orders or "stocking up" on goodies which will freeze well for a couple months.
*By completing the check-out process, you agree to pay appropriate shipping costs once your order is processed.
November through April (approximate) - We use UPS Ground & UPS 2nd Day Air, unless the destination is unseasonably hot (in which UPS 2nd Day Air or UPS Next Day Air Saver will be required with warm weather packaging and charged accordingly). Warm weather shipping may be applied if routing temperature averages 73° F or higher.
May through October (approximate) - We ship with special warm weather packaging on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Orders received after 12:00 noon on Wednesday and later will be shipped the following Monday. If the weather is unseasonably hot to any destination, we must ship OVERNIGHT WARM WEATHER and charge accordingly.
*Warm Weather Packaging- add $4.00-$10.00 to normal shipping rates (depending upon size of box needed for shipment)
*Express Overnight- add $18.00 to shipping cost
*Overnight Warm Weather- add $25 to shipping cost
IMPORTANT - Since our products are custom made for you, orders will be shipped within 2-3 days of being received, and sooner if possible. If you have an extremely time-sensitive order, please
contact us.
The Chocolate Season's products are made from premium chocolate with no additives or preservatives and will begin to soften at 76 degrees. Please arrange to be at home around delivery time or make every effort to notify the recipient that a package will be arriving, as we cannot be responsible for items left unattended in warm weather.
